VITAMIN B Blog -Time to be Intentional
As we almost wrap up month 1 of the new year, I've taken time to reflect on the goals I set for myself last year. I progressed in many places but remained stagnant in other places, especially those pertaining to MY personal goals outside of business. It's so important to set intentional and achievable (keyword) goals for ourselves and take baby steps. Creating a sizable plan can help us stay focused and on track, even when life gets hectic. But let's be real; it's easy to get caught up in the daily grind and lose sight of our goals or become unmotivated. That's why intentional content intake is high on my list this year. I’ve noticed such a huge difference by simply indulging in different content. Youtube tutorials instead of Vampire Diaries. Morning podcasts instead of Her Loss… A life hack to motivate yourself! Even if I feel like I already know a lot about the subject, I ALWAYS learn something new or hear something that sparks a creative thought. Trust me, try it for three days, and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Let's create the life we want for ourselves, one step at a time.
To make this a quick one, here are my 5 steps to improve your awareness this year:
Take a deep breath and chill - Meditate for just 5 minutes to connect with your inner self and set the tone for the rest of your day or any part of your day!
One thing at a time, please - Multi-tasking might seem like a good idea, but studies have shown it increases errors and takes longer. Take breaks in between to stay focused.
Slow and steady, LIVE YOUR LIFE - Whether creating a proposal or doing your Sunday deep clean, take your time to stay open, feel your feelings and allow the process to intrigue you (my key to staying under-whelmed).
Screen time check - Set boundaries for screen time, take social media breaks, and keep mobile devices out of reach at bedtime. I use the screentime feature on my iPhone to help me keep myself off the gram when I know I need unplugging! & you know… HEAVY on the DND (:
Nature calls - Take a stroll, go explore the woods. Get out in the backyard, or the balcony! - wherever you can be outside. It's good for the body, mind, and spirit and keeps you in the present.

I have a lot of exciting things planned for this year, and I'm confident I can make them happen with the right mindset and approach. Whether it's launching a new business (in the making!), achieving personal financial milestones, or simply enjoying life, I'm ready to make this year count.
